Fentimans has unveiled a range of light soft drinks to tap the health trend.
The trio of drinks includes lower-calorie versions of the brand’s Rose Lemonade, Gently Sparkling Elderflower and Sparkling Raspberry flavours.
They are billed as containing less than 60 calories per bottle with 4.8g of sugar per 100ml. Fentimans said they would “better meet the needs of a growing audience seeking reduced calories in premium soft drinks”.
Fentimans marketing director Andrew Jackson added: “We know that a growing number of our audience are increasingly looking for great tasting ‘light’ drinks with fewer calories.
“We have worked long and hard on the new recipes to ensure we can deliver a lighter option of our classic drinks, with absolutely no compromise on flavour.”
The trio will roll out from 2 September in 250ml bottles (rsp: £1.25). The launch will be backed by a push encompassing print advertising, sampling, digital and in-store activations.
It follows the launch of a new Apple & Blackberry soda “inspired by the British summer”, which rolled out in January.
