The Jerky Group is getting its teeth into the pork crackling market with Hogbites, a new brand unveiled at Food & Drink Expo this week.
Set to roll out to retailers next month, Hogbites are softer than many other similar lines and are seasoned with Cornish Sea Salt, which is flagged up on the product’s foil bags.
“We spent a lot of time getting the packaging right,” said The Jerky Group MD James Newitt, adding that the range would be expanded later this year with smokey bacon and chilli flavours.
The company dominates the UK branded beef jerky market, and owns brands such as Wild West jerky and the Bundu and BullOx biltong ranges.
