What's your favourite restaurant? The Chilli Club Thai Restaurant in Lymm, Cheshire. Great, authentic food and a warm welcome for my kids.
Do you prefer healthy food or junk food? I enjoy both but it's all about balance.
Have you ever sent back or complained about a meal? Yes, in a central London hotel, my fillet steak was cremated. But it was replaced without a quibble.
What's your favourite tipple? Ice cold Guinness.
What would you rescue from your house if it was burning down? My wife and children.
What's your fantasy car... and what do you actually drive? I don't have a fantasy car but I'm happy with my Mercedes E320 estate.
What gadgets do you carry around with you? My mobile and a pen and paper.
What's the most embarrassing moment of your professional life? I can't recall being embarrassed at work. I believe in taking things on the chin and moving on.
What are your pet hates? Rudeness and smoking.
What's the best holiday you've ever had? Spending a week in the highlands of Guatemala and then climbing Mount Kinabalu in Borneo.
