Nestlé Rowntree has named Neil Ducray as marketing director, replacing Sam Hunter, who is leaving for Australia, as planned, at the end of July.
Hunter was himself caretaking the role, having taken up the reins from Andrew Harrison, who left in January to become general manager of Müller Dairy UK.
Hunter presided over a period of intense activity for the company. It has recently launched low-carb versions of Kit Kat and Rolo and also added more flavours to its Kit Kat brand, such as a white lemon & yogurt variant.
Ducray will assume his post
on July 26, reporting to MD Chris White. He will join from advertising agency TBWA Hong Kong, where he had been MD and marketing planning consultant since May 2000. Before that he was business director for American Express/ Ogilvy. He joined that company from Sierad Produce in Asia where he was vice president regional marketing.
Prior to that he was regional marketing director, Asia Pacific, for Wendy’s Hamburgers.
And before that he spent 10 years at Bates Australia and Thailand, rising to become chief operating officer.
White, who only assumed his role in December, said: “I’ve watched Neil’s career with admiration for nearly 20 years His appointment is great news and his experience and insight will prove invaluable.”
