Sugar-free ice cream brand Oppo has moved into chilled desserts with a trio of lower-calorie cheesecake pots.
The result of two years’ development, Sicilian Lemon, Madagascan Vanilla and Raspberry (rsp: £1.90/75g) will be available from the summer in selected Sainsbury’s stores. Each is sweetened with maltitol and erythritol, features a biscuit base with cinnamon and contains no more than 212kcals per 100g.
Oppo wanted “to change the way people see indulgent food” said Charlie Thuillier, who founded the brand with his brother Harry.
It launched its first ice cream in October 2014, and is now in more than 4,500 stores and eight countries.
