Vegan ready meal brand Allplants is making its retail debut.
The business, which was formerly DTC-only, has secured new listings with Ocado and Planet Organic, with further listings to be announced in the weeks ahead.
A selection of its bestselling dishes, including Protein Power Buddha Bowl, Mac & Greens, Sticky Teriyaki Udon Noodles and Truffle Mushroom Orzo, have rolled into the retailers (rsp: from £5.50).
The move into retail would help it reach “even more plant-curious people” and prove that frozen food was “far healthier and tastier” than people often perceived, said the brand.
Allplants CEO Jonathan Petrides said the new listings would make it “far more convenient to buy” and create “even more momentum for the future of food that we’re trying to build”.
“It’s an exciting moment for Allplants, and we can’t wait to welcome even more people to join the movement.”
It comes after the brand launched its biggest out-of-home campaign to date in September and committed to donating 10,000 meals to families in need.
The business first announced plans to launch into retail in October 2021, when it secured £38m in funding in the largest-ever Series B round for a European vegan food business.
