WH Smith has started selling upmarket confectionery from Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe and Prestat in its travel stores.

Mr Simms, which has 107 franchised stores, has won a listing for about 70 lines in 16 WH Smith travel stores, including handmade chocolate bars and fudge, as well as gift lines such as retro jars, mini mixed sweet jars and gift boxes. Mr Simms is not currently sold in any other retailers.

In another move to target the gifting market, WH Smith is trialling a A range of Prestat chocolate boxes and gifts in WH Smith travel stores.

The listings come after the stationer launched a revamped range of sandwiches and food-to-go products in selected travel stores last year.
