Yeo Valley is to launch a second variant of its Left-Yeovers yoghurt after selling 130,000 pots of the initial strawberry and fig flavour in Tesco - raising £13,000 for food waste charity FareShare.
The yoghurts were stocked in 350 stores, with Yeo Valley and Tesco donating 10p for every pot sold to FareShare.
After “exhausting” supplies of over a tonne of figs and hundreds of kgs of blood orange juice and carrot purée that would have gone to waste, Yeo Valley is now working on Left-Yeovers 2, which could hit shelves in the autumn.
“I can’t confirm the final recipe but we do have some plums and quince left over from a previous limited edition,” said MD Dan Rusga.
