Ocado has launched an advertising campaign focused on affordability and promoting its ‘Everyday Savers’ range.
The 30-second ad, which launched today and “highlights Ocado’s philosophy of providing shoppers with quality products at affordable prices” will run across TV, video on demand, social media, press and radio until mid-March.
Ocado Retail said the campaign “shows how Ocado can deliver customers a table full of everything they need, and for less than they’d expect”. It ends with the message: “At Ocado we’re bringing great value to the table with our Everyday Savers”, before revealing the retailer’s strapline ‘There’s an Ocado just for you’ which was first used in May last year.
Everyday Savers, Ocado says, is a curated collection of “most-loved everyday staples, offered at low prices”. The range includes Ocado own-label products as well as branded goods. On the online grocer’s website, customers can search an Everyday Savers section which currently features 136 products.
The marketing campaign, called “Ocado – Bringing great value to the table” was devised by creative agency St Luke’s, whose clients include Heineken, Diageo, Tanqueray, Bell’s, KP Snacks, Tyrrells, KP Nuts and Butterkist.
The ad depicts products emerging from an Ocado van on a never-ending table on wheels which travels along streets and through houses. Onlookers such as a window cleaner and a child at the party watch in amazement. The table is then seen climbing stairs in a house, while a bathroom door opens and a hand swipes loo roll.
“With a wider range than any other supermarket, Ocado truly has something for everyone. We’re excited to bring to life our extensive selection of Everyday Savers, perfectly illustrated with a never-ending table of essentials. Whatever your weekly shop looks like, ‘there’s an Ocado just for you’,” said Laura Harricks, chief customer officer at Ocado Retail.
