From super-sized chocolate buttons to chocolate biscuits transformed into eggs, M&S has drawn inspiration from its core lines for its 2020 Easter egg lineup. Here’s our pick of the range
Seth the Sloth
Rsp: £5/135g
First of the new characters in the M&S Easter lineup, sleepy Seth the Sloth is made of milk chocolate.
Flameggo
Rsp: £5/135g
Because llamas are so last year, Seth will be joined by a pink, hand-decorated chocolate flamingo the retailer has dubbed the “Flameggo”.
Easter Sundae
Rsp: £10/220g
Keeping up the wordplay, M&S is bringing two Easter Sundae eggs to stores this spring. The Caramel & Fudge variant is topped with chocolate-coated pretzels, fudge and caramel pieces, while the Fruity option is sprinkled with freeze-dried raspberries and jelly beans.
Extremely Chocolatey Eggs
Rsp: £8/435g
M&S has reimagined its Extremely Chocolatey Biscuit selection box as an Easter egg. The Extremely Chocolatey Biscuit Egg is an extra thick chocolate egg with chunks of biscuit. It’s joined by the Extremely Chocolatey Speckled Egg Crunch, which is blended with mini speckled eggs and candy pieces.
M&S Collection eggs
Rsp: £15/406-425g
On the pricier end of the scale, these Collection eggs will be on shelves in two variants: Belgian chocolate Marc de Champagne, which comes with 10 truffles, and Fruit & Nut Lattice, which is decorated with hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios and golden raisins.
Bunny Ears Tin
Rsp: £5/115g
This keepsake tin is filled with foil-wrapped milk chocolate farmyard characters.
Jumbo Easter Button
Rsp: £5/180g
For this Easter treat, M&S has supersized its chocolate buttons, swirled through pink chocolate and topped them off with crispy mini eggs.
