Irish oat miller Flahavan’s has launched a muesli range and two porridge lines into Waitrose.
Called Hi8 (rsp: £3.40/450g), the muesli contains a base of eight natural ingredients: oat flakes, raisins, wheat flakes, apricots, dates, rye flakes, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.
It has launched in Original and Fruit & Nut, the latter of which contains extra ingredients such as hazelnuts, sultanas and almonds.
Both are a source of fibre and protein, with no added sugar.
Flahavan’s has also added Real Fruit Apple & Raisin Porridge (rsp: £3.50/600g) and Organic Porridge Oat Sachets (rsp: £2.99/8x35g).
All four products have hit Waitrose shelves this week.
“We are incredibly excited to launch these new products that showcase the breadth of our breakfast offering,” said Flahavan’s international marketing lead Nicola Bates.
“As a family-owned business for over seven generations, we take pride in providing nutritious and sustainable options that families can not only trust but are great-tasting.”
It comes after Flahavan’s recorded a fall in pre-tax profits worth over €800k (£667.4k) as its operating costs increased by 10% to almost €8.5m (£7.1m), according to results filed by parent company, Finegrove Holdings.
Meanwhile, the Waterford-based porridge maker’s revenue surged by over €4.1m (£3.4m) to almost €33.5m (£27.9m) for the year ending 30 June 2023.
