First Milk's membership director Alan Taylor has been appointed vice chairman of Dairy UK Scotland. He will hold the post for two years.
Granini's new recruit
Dairy Farmers of Britain has appointed former Tropicana divisional sales controller Steve Wheatley as new sales and marketing director for Granini UK. The co-operative secured a deal to distribute the European fruit juice brand in the UK in May.
Gatt elected for SFF
Ian Gatt has been elected as the new president of the Scottish Fishermen's Federation (SFF), taking over from Alex West who has retired after three years. Gatt has more than 30 years experience in the industry, 23 of them as a skipper and owner.
JML sales boost
Tim Waite has been promoted to the newly created role of sales director of household gadget company JML. He will take immediate charge of managing JML's retail operations that includes Asda, Makro, Woolworths and Boots among its customers.
Fairtrade's CEO
Rob Cameron will become CEO of the Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO) in Bonn, Germany. Cameron, who was previously chairman of Flag Communications, hopes to continue the FLO's "enormous growth". Sales of Fairtrade products have risen 40% globally since 2004.
Sands now chairman
Richard Sands is stepping down as CEO of drinks company Constellation Brands in the US. Sands will hand over the reins to his brother Robert Sands, who is currently Constellation's president and chief operating officer, on 26 July. Richard will remain in the company, taking on the role of chairman.
