Pepsi Treats NPD

The launch is a first for Pepsi in 2025, following the introduction of the bright blue Pepsi Electric last year

Pepsi has added a duo of zero-sugar colas in the UK.

Called Strawberries ‘N’ Cream and Cream Soda, the pair were “the ultimate sweet treat to indulge” in, said Pepsi UK supplier Carlsberg Britvic.

They have rolled out in grocery in 500ml price-marked packs, 330ml cans, 8x330ml multipacks and 1.5-litre bottles (Strawberries ‘N’ Cream only), with a wider rollout across convenience and foodservice to follow.

The treat-inspired serves would be supported by “a comprehensive and disruptive communications plan targeted at recruiting new Gen Z shoppers into cola”, Carlsberg Britvic said.

“Pepsi brings unique flavours and zero-sugar offerings to retailers’ shelves,” said Ben Parker, vice-president of off trade sales at Carlsberg Britvic. “This latest launch is an exciting and bold step into the indulgence space and is designed with Gen Z flavour lovers in mind.”

The NPD would “entice shoppers with a new experience and help increase sales in a highly competitive category”, Parker predicted.

“We’ll be working with retailers to help make the launch a success, with the aim of increasing footfall and sales, thanks to the product’s distinctive look helping it stand out on shelves,” he added.

The launch is a first for Pepsi in 2025, following the introduction of the bright blue Pepsi Electic in 2024, and Pepsi Max Mango in 2023.
