Kerry Foods is relaunching Mattessons cooked sliced meats after pulling the range last year because it "wasn't working hard enough."
The range, which hits shelves on Monday, will include cooked ham, crumbed ham, honey roast ham (rsp: £1.99/120g), corned beef, wafer-thin chicken, pork luncheon meat and wafer-thin ham (rsp: £1/100g).
Mattessons is targeting independents and symbol group retailers and the products will be available through Kerry Foods' direct-to-store service. No listings in multiples have yet been confirmed.
Kerry pulled its range of cooked sliced meats last year to concentrate on its meat snacks and ingredients portfolio, which includes Fridge Raiders and smoked pork sausage. Awareness of the brand had since improved, making a relaunch viable, a spokesman said.
