Meat alternative brand This has partnered with Greggs to launch a ‘turkey-free’ baguette ahead of Christmas.
The Vegan Turkey-Free & Stuffing Baguette comprises “hyper-realistic” plant-based turkey-free goujons with a sage and onion crust, cranberry sauce and vegan gravy.
It has rolled into all 2,200 of Greggs’ outlets (rsp: £3.50).
The partnership, which was “a huge milestone for This” is being supported by digital, in-store PoS and PR activity.
According to This co-founder Andy Shovel, the collaboration with Greggs was “massive” and “a statement on the quality of the products we’re producing”.
It was “also reflective of the continued investment into and demand for plant-based food”, he said.
The partnership between the two brands began in September, when Greggs added a Vegan Southern Fried Chicken-Free Baguette to its menu, comprising This chicken-free goujons.
In the same month, This unveiled its first beef alternatives and launched a trio of ready meals into Tesco.
Over summer, the brand positioned itself to capitalise on food-to-go with the launch of a line of branded sandwiches and snack pots into WH Smith.
