The range is designed to appeal to a growing number of Gen Z consumers who ‘love confectionery-style coffee shop treats’

Crediton Dairy has expanded its Arctic Coffee brand with the launch of an Arctic Frappe sub-brand.

The Frappe range (rsp: £1.40/330ml) features two flavours: Caramelised Biscuit and Chocolate Fudge.

The NPD is designed to appeal to a growing number of Gen Z consumers who “love confectionery-style coffee shop treats”.

It is also packaged in “bold, colourful and fun packaging” in a carton format designed to gain shoppers’ attention when at fixture.

“We wanted to bring something new and exciting into the dairy drinks sector,” said Jo Taylor, brand manager at Crediton Dairy. “We knew we could create an iced coffee that would specifically appeal to younger Gen Z consumers who love confectionery-style coffee shop treats and, by bringing them into mainstream retail, deliver to them fun and indulgent iced coffee moments that are more affordable and accessible.”

The range will be rolled out into Tesco and Morrisons stores from 3 March, with more listings to come this year.

The higher rsp of the products compared with Arctic’s core lines reflected the use of more indulgent and creamier ingredients, as part of a bid to drive value in the category, the brand added.

“The launch will allow the brand to continue to grow and expand by bringing new consumers into the RTD iced coffee category,” said Taylor. “Arctic Frappe is all about being fun, indulgent and bold and this is reflected in our standout branding, new pack formats and flavours.

The lineup’s flavours also offered a clear point of difference to Arctic’s core range of Café Latte and Caramel, “tapping into flavour trends that we know are so popular with the younger consumers”, Taylor suggested.

The launch will be supported with a media plan covering digital, social and in-store. It will also be a core part of Arctic Coffee’s 2025 consumer sampling campaign and benefit from a summer retail promotional plan.
