Pukka has added a trio of puff pastry parcels inspired by world cuisines, in its “biggest launch yet”.
Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Mexican Beef and Indian Spiced Vegetable (rsp: £1.50/130g) are positioned to appeal to a younger audience, according to Pukka.
They were developed based on the Pukka team’s travels across the globe.
Jamaican Jerk Chicken is filled with chicken in spicy jerk sauce, with sweet potato and black turtle beans.
Mexican Beef, meanwhile, contains minced beef, kidney beans, peppers and sweetcorn with chipotle chilli, smoked paprika and cumin.
Finally, Indian Spiced Vegetable features spiced potato, peas, cauliflower and spinach with garam masala, coriander and cumin.
Wrapped in “vibrant, eye-catching packaging”, the pastries will roll into Morrisons on 9 October, followed by Tesco, Asda and Ocado in November.
“As a British brand catering to a beautifully diverse audience, it’s incredibly important that we’re celebrating as many cultures as possible,” said Pukka CEO Isaac Fisher.
“When developing the products, our top priority was coming up with something that tasted great and felt authentic. That’s why we travelled the world, visiting Jamica, Mexico and India, to bring a taste of these iconic culinary destinations to the UK.”
The launch will be supported by a marketing push, including digital and in-store activations, as well as a TV campaign for the wider brand.
